When you stop translating chaos into love.

There comes a point where you stop trying to explain your pain to people who benefited from your silence. And honestly? That realization will make you angry before it sets you free.

Because you start seeing the pattern clearly. The emotional dumping. The guilt. The chaos. The apologies after the damage. The sudden love and urgency once consequences arrive. You realize you spent years holding space for people who rarely stopped long enough to truly hold space for you.

I kept thinking love meant understanding everyone. Being patient. Giving more chances. Explaining away behavior. Seeing the wounded child inside of people while abandoning myself in the process.

But eventually my nervous system stopped romanticizing what my body was struggling to survive.

Love is not supposed to cost your peace, your sanity, your voice, your family, your friendships and your sense of self. And one of the hardest truths to accept is this, some people don’t miss you because they suddenly learned how to love you better. They miss the role you played in keeping their world emotionally stable.

That realization hurt. But it also woke me up. Because I don’t want to live in survival mode anymore. I don’t want emotional whiplash mistaken for passion. I don’t want apologies that only arrive once consequences do. And I no longer want to keep translating inconsistency into love. I want peace now.

And peace stopped feeling boring the moment I realized how expensive chaos had become.
